Addiction

Hello everyone,

it is time for another confession! This is the #2 of a long list.
I AM ADDICTED TO ART!

Now that I said it out loud, I feel much better.
I make compulsive shopping of stationary, canvas, card stock and all you can imaging, since I was as little as 6.

My mother is very talented at pottery and painting. She inspired me to pursue my creative side since the school years.
My father also used to paint during his high school year and has many hobbies ranging from photography to drawing (just like me).
From such an inspiring environment, setting aside this addiction was never easy but I managed to control it overtime.

I am now a grown-up, but everytime I go shopping for my son, I can‘t resist that instinct and I start check the stationary shelves in the market for the next tools to add to my crafting corners. IT MAKES ME FEEL SO DAMN GOOD!

I love to share my passion with my son. We draw and paint at least twice a week, for that feeling of happiness and satisfaction. We create, get ourself dirty, we scream to each other and then we laugh a lot.
That‘s what I call „Quality time“ with my Toddler!

What it looks addictive but makes you happy, can‘t be a bad thing, right?!
I encourage you to experiment with different media, color and technique. I challenge you to go and grab some new material to work with. And then… CREATE! ENJOY IT! SHARE IT!

There are no better feelings than the ones rising from sharing.
Are you also addicted to shopping for crafts? What are you unconsciously stocking up in your craft corner? I look forward to read your answer.

Sending lots of love,
Lalla

P.S.: I have probably more than a thousand colored pencils and the picture are just some of my pastels and watercolor 🙂
